"Sustainable coffee is produced on a farm with high biological diversity and low chemical inputs. It conserves resources, protects the environment, produces efficiently, competes commercially and enhances the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole."

Grow Organics

Help move America's mindset toward healthier food by asking Congress to allocate more than the current paltry 1% of the Farm Bill to support organic farmers. The bill includes $76 billion (not a typo) of your tax dollars in subsidies going nearly entirely to conventional agriculture, creating a precipitously unlevel playing field for organics. Read a fine overview at Mulch, the Environmental Working Group's blog, and then go sign their petition to Congress. They're over halfway to their goal of 30,000 signatures before 15 July.
