"Sustainable coffee is produced on a farm with high biological diversity and low chemical inputs. It conserves resources, protects the environment, produces efficiently, competes commercially and enhances the quality of life for farmers and society as a whole."

Another Bolivian coffee competition

In our review of Paradise Roasters Calama Marka Bolivia Cup of Excellence coffee, I discussed the cancellation of this year's program, and the politics behind it.  I just received a comment from Michael Sheridan of the CRS Fair Trade program describing the recently held Bolivian Popular Process of Excellence, which was a response to the Cup of Excellence cancellation. A mini-diary of the event is here.   I hope we'll hear more about the event, the participants, and the coffee. Perhaps Michael will give us more details in the comments, or post a link in the comments when there is more information at his site.  Thanks, Michael.
